About Us

Bruce Bender and Scott Cantone established Bender Cantone Consulting Inc., a full service public affairs firm specializing in governmental relations, strategic planning & communications, public policy, political consulting, community outreach and business development strategies.

Bender Cantone Consulting continues to be in the front lines of NYC & NYS public policy advocacy. Whether assisting the Success Academy Charter Network with their campaign to protect and expand their schools, assisting the Brooklyn Nets with relocating their training facility to Brooklyn, or helping a trade organization stop legislation that would be harmful to small businesses, we understand the struggles businesses and industries face and the representation they need to succeed.

Together, we have developed and implemented successful public affairs strategies and obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in public subsidies for some of the city and state?s most visible development projects:

  • • Barclays Center and Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn
  • • New York by Gehry in Lower Manhattan
  • • The New York Times Building in Midtown
  • • East River Plaza Mall in East Harlem
  • • Ridge Hill Village in Westchester

Having worked in senior positions on both sides of City Hall and working closely with elected and government officials in Albany, New York City and Washington, we have had significant impact on public policy and budgetary matters over the last 30 years. We have developed stellar reputations and long-standing, trusted relationships.
